The
Basics Full CTF capabilities for 2 or 3 teams. All
DM maps should work because the keys are created at random spots on
the map (unless and external entity file is found). The game will
create 2 or 3 keys based on the number of teams. The keys will glow
with your teams color and the key pedestal will also glow with your
teams color. You can only carry one key at a time (This
only applies for more than 2 teams of course).If an enemy drops your teams key, you can
return it by touching it.In order to score a capture you have to
touch your teams key while its on your team's pedestal while
carrying the enemy key, or return the enemy key to a "capture
pad".If a team gets 3 captures in a row, then all
enemy teams get a Quad Rally! Basically, each member of the enemy
teams gets quad damage. This gives them a chance to come back after
getting their butt kicked.Player model shows him/her actually carrying
the enemy flag when they have it.Keys show up properly in inventory as "Blue
Team Key", "Red Team Key" or "Green Team Key". You can also drop a
key you are carrying. A quick way to drop the key is to use the
"dropkey" alias.Team scoring is based on a non-frag system
to encourage team play, key captures and killing the Captain.All players have an "Offensive" and
"Defensive" mode. Each mode effects how much ammo,health, and armor
you may have. And also effects your speed and jumping capabilities.
And some class abilities can only be used in certain modes. Note it
is not possible to pick up a flag in Defense mode so to avoid
confusion to new players, Offense mode is the default. |
